I know it’s that time of year when every one does a year in review. Well here is mine. It doesn’t contain any sick boating in remote cool places around the world or dropping off the biggest waterfalls. It’s just me paddling around the Northeast having fun and just enjoying my life to the fullest.

This was a pretty relaxing year for me just chilling out more and competing less. I still did a bunch of competitions and had some good ones and some bad ones. I competed in a few SUP races and had great results for being a newbie racer. I also competed in the Jimi Cup for squirt boating which was a great time and am looking forward to hanging out with those zombies again.

I really didn’t do much Wild Water racing this year or Freestyle events because I didn’t want to travel too much. 2013 was a lot of traveling and competing so it was nice to have a year of just chilling out. Jeff was happy with that decision because I spent less money.
I went to CO for a week to attend the CKS Paddle Fest. I worked the event, competed in the freestyle, and judged the mens class. I was on “ElaineCation” and had so much fun! Next year the RV will be back in business and the Campbell clan will be out there for about 3 weeks.

A few big things happened this year in our lives. My brother Mark and his wife Astrid had a baby named Noelle who we love and adore so much and I can’t wait to see her at Christmas! Our good friends Phil and Ali had a baby who we also love and adore so much! It’s been so much fun playing with these babies and watching them grow these past few months.
I’m looking forward to 2015. I’ll be competing a bit more so I’ll be spending more of our money! What’s crazy is it’s going to be our 10 year wedding anniversary June 5th! It’s crazy to think it’s going to be 10 years that we’ve been married! We are celebrating it this winter by going to the Florida Keys. It will be a nice escape from the cold.
Winter is in full swing in VT so we are into the winter sports now and go to pool sessions on Sunday’s. I’ll start kayaking again in March and will probably head to WV for a week or so to start my season.
Here’s a bunch of photos from 2014 and a video I put together from the year of paddling. Thanks for reading and have a great Holiday and New Year!!!!
